This website, https://pelvinavigator.org, is owned and managed by the Research Team at Oxford Brookes University. It is used for the purpose of conducting a feasibility study evaluating an educational website as a tool to imporve access and engagement with plevic floor health information. This website is not a commercial enterprise and does not provide or sell products or services.

Purpose of Data Collection

The data collected through this website are used solely for research purposes to assess engagement with the online tool and to evaluate its usability, acceptability, and educational value. The data will be used in academic research, specifically as part of Isobel Cooper’s doctorate and potentially for empirical research publications and/or conference presentations. 

What Data We Collect

This website does not collect personal data such as names, email addresses, or IP addresses.
The only data collected are anonymised website engagement metrics, which include:

  • The number and frequency of visits;
  • Pages viewed and navigation paths;
  • Total time spent on each page;
  • Links or features accessed.

This information is collected using Matomo Analytics, an open-source analytics tool hosted on secure university servers. Matomo is configured with IP anonymisation enabled, meaning no visitor can be personally identified.

Data Storage and Security

Anonymous IDs, emails and access “magic links” will be stored on a secure password-protected Google Drive folder. Only the Lead Researcher will have access to this folder.

All engagement data is stored securely in accordance with Oxford Brookes University’s data management and security policies.

Third-party data processors will be used for office productivity and data hosting. This includes Google, Excel, Qualtrics, WordPress, IBM-SPSS, and RADAR.

No identifiable information (such as IP addresses or emails) is stored.

Who Owns the Data

All data collected via this website for the feasibility study is owned by the Lead Researcher and Oxford Brookes University.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies
